NEW HOUSE - WAITOHU RD     YORK BAY   EASTBOURNE

Andrew designed and built this house for himself over a period of 10 years.  The site is at the base of a steep hillside and has a very limited footprint, necessitating the vertical solution.  The claddings are “Black Zinc” and Macrocarpa, which have muted tones to help blend in to the bush clad hill side, and weather in a graceful manner.  The design was intended as an “apartment” in the bush with solutions to minimise maintenance.

An article on the house was featured in the Dominion Post - http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/business/residential-property/8807036/A-true-labour-of-love

This project was entirely designed, documented, project managed and built by Andrew.
