NEW TOWNHOUSE - ISAAC SWANSEA STREET NGAIO WELLINGTON
While working for CGM Architects in Wellington, Andrew designed this suburban town house on a very small subdivided site. Town Planning constraints drove the design solution in many respects. Existing trees in raised beds at the front of the site were retained and the building was dug into the site to keep its height down. Cladding materials were Zinc and Macrocarpa on timber framing to the top two floors, with parts in Hardies Titan board. The design sought to maximise sun while dealing with privacy issues.
This project achieved Resource Consent permission from the Wellington City Council, 2008.
